How to install matchawake
matchawake isn't (yet) notarized through an Apple Developer account, so macOS will initially block the app as coming from an unidentified developer. This is a standard Gatekeeper warning, not a sign that anything is wrong — after downloading, you just need to manually allow it once under System Settings → Privacy & Security. The short video below walks you through every step.

In Smart Mode, matchawake watches active processes (e.g. Final Cut Pro or Xcode), ongoing downloads, network activity, and media playback. As soon as one of these activities is detected, your Mac stays awake automatically — and goes back to sleep once nothing is running anymore.
No. matchawake runs entirely locally on your Mac. No usage data is sent to any server, and there's no tracking or analytics running in the background.
Yes, MatchaWake is built as a universal app and runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1 and later) as well as Intel Macs from macOS 13 Ventura onward.
You can enable battery awareness in Settings. matchawake will then automatically reduce its activity when your Mac is running on battery and charge is low.
